History of Pax in Ghana

The International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS), Pax Romana,Ghana Federation started as the St. Thomas Aquinas Society in the then University College of Gold Coast in 1949 and spread to other tertiary institutions. In 1956 it was affiliated and accredited by the International Secretariat of the Movement and the international name adopted. Rev. Fr. Prof Korster, a former lecturer at the University College of Gold Coast now University of Ghana was the first National Chaplain. He served the Movement from 1949 to 1978.
